Shortly after earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Geology, Mr. Kevol started as a junior Geologist at Reece Energy Exploration Corp.
Reece Energy had just gone public at this time, and was producing 240 boe/d.
Was promoted to Manager of Geology and Drilling Operations in late 2007 with Reece producing 900 boe/d.
The majority of Reece Energy’s success was from drilling multi-stage fractured Viking Horizontal oil wells.
Reece drilled the first multi-stage fractured horizontal Viking oil well in Saskatchewan in 2007, and followed it up with another 28 in 2008 with a 100% success rate.
Reece Energy sold to Penn West Energy in May 2009 at 2100 boe/d.
