Petro-Uno Areas of Focus

Petro Uno’s core area is in the Kindersley Area of Saskatchewan.  Numerous farm-in deals, a corporate acquisition and three joint venture acquisitions have grown the company’s land position to over 16,000 gross acres.

Petro Uno has been very successful in garnering access to over 16,000 acres through farm-in agreements and acquisitions to make this highly sought after Viking Resource Play its core development property.  The area is ripe for horizontal development and Petro Uno has the expertise to successfully drill and complete the Viking horizontal multi-stage fractured wells.  Petro Uno is the Operator of this acreage that sets up over 120 drilling locations.

Petro Uno’s land holdings are in the main Dodsland Viking light oil pool and in a number of nearby smaller pools that are similar in nature.  The Viking is a very attractive play for many reasons.  The wells are relatively inexpensive to drill and the multi-stage fracture technique greatly enhances the recovery of the reserves in place.  The Viking oil is approximately 38o API.  The operating costs are very low due to the small amount of water associated with the Viking oil.  The high quality of oil and low operating costs work to give us a very favorable netback.

Petro Uno successfully carried out an aggressive drilling program in 2010.  Twenty eight (gross) horizontal wells were drilled with 21 of these fractured and capable of production at year end.   

Petro Uno has budgeted to continue to drill in 2011 with15 gross wells planned for the first half of 2011.
