Kindersley, SaskatchewanPetro Uno has been very successful in garnering access to ~ 10,000 acres through farm-in agreements and acquisitions to make this highly sought after play its core development property. The area is ripe for horizontal development and Petro-Uno has the expertise to successfully drill and complete Viking horizontal multi-staged fractured wells. Petro Uno is the Operator of this acreage which sets up over 100 drilling locations. Petro Uno’s land lies right in the heart of the main Dodsland Viking light oil pool that is being horizontally developed near Kindersley. This pool covers approximately 275 square miles. In addition to the Dodsland pool, there are multiple other smaller pools in the area similar in nature in which Petro Uno also holds land. The Viking is a very attractive play for many reasons. The wells are relatively inexpensive to drill and the multi-stage fracture completion technique greatly enhances the recovery of the reserves in place. The Viking oil is approximately 38° API. The operating costs are very low due to the small amount of water associated with the Viking oil. The high quality oil and low operating costs work to give us a very favourable netback. Petro Uno has budgeted to drill an additional 16 gross wells during the remainder of 2010. Based on expected results, this aggressive drilling schedule should allow Petro Uno to exit 2010 producing 400 BOEPD net. Petro Uno will continue to actively pursue farmin and acquisition opportunities in this area. |
